Attorneys, Accountants, CPA’s, and Certified Financial Planners are offered continuing education CLE credits by Halfmoon Seminars for the day, designed to bring professionals that guide financial decisions of their clients up to speed on sales and tax issues related to operating a business or not-for-profit in New York State.
2017 New York State Tax Update
Robert Miller was invited address recent NY State sales and use tax law changes that relate to manufacturers, transportation companies, professional service companies, software, information service, construction, not-for-profit, and other organizations navigating complex sales and use tax determinations.
Robert’s extensive experience as a former sales tax auditor who left the tax department and later became Founder of RK Miller Associates LLC to represent the tax payers after realizing how much tax organizations with accountants, CPA’s, finance professionals and tax attornes were over-paying.
“The amount of erroneously overpaid tax is astounding”, says Robert Miller. After realizing how much capital organizations were losing, Robert wanted to become a champion for tax payers. He has recovered or saved organizations many millions through sales tax audit representation, reverse audits and assessment appeals , and tax compliance since becoming a sales tax consultant.
